DESCRIPTION:Iona Lane is a folk singer\, songwriter\, and storyteller. Having released her debut album ‘Hallival’ in 2022 to critical acclaim\, reaching number 36 in the Folk Album Charts and airplay across the country including the folk shows on BBC Radio 2\, BBC Radio Scotland\, and BBC Radio Wales. ‘Hallival’ was listed #27 in FRUK’s top albums of 2022. Iona’s music draws inspiration from landscapes and the natural world\, finding stories in rural locations of mythology\, folklore\, and science and giving them new life in folk music. Accompanied by intricate guitar playing and the hypnotic tones of a shruti box\, Iona’s voice has been captivating audiences up and down the country. \nAccompanied by Malin Lewis – a piper\, fiddler\, and multi-instrumentalist best known for making their own instruments and experimenting with unusual sounds. Malin learned their music on the West Coast of Scotland before studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
